Great Day for Danes

P.A.W.S. of Austin Founder and Executive Director, Prima Mosi, invited me to a grand event last Tuesday at Pluckers Wing Bar on South Lamar. On the first Tuesday of the month, this eatery will donate 20% of the proceeds from non-alcoholic menu items to PAWS of Austin when you mention this wonderful rescue organization! Because of a prior commitment, I missed the grand show, but enjoyed meeting a variety of Danes and their people, as well as Courtney Leigh and Susan Thayer, with P.A.W.S., who helped organize the evening's event.

I also visited with Lauren O'Connor, who recently launched an incredible new organization called Driving for Danes. She and her dog, Harley, are traveling around the country in an effort to raise $100,000 for Great Dane and animal rescue. She is filled with heart and enthusiasm, and I urge you to visit her site and make a donation.

It is truly moving to meet amazing people who open their homes, hearts and wallets to help animals in need!

Buddy's YMCA Visit

Buddy met Stephanie at the YMCA and they became fast friends. She is a strong animal advocate and has another special tripod dog in her life. Enjoy the footage.
